Former Wisconsin governor and Health and Human Services secretary Tommy Thompson pulled the plug on his presidential candidacy on Sunday.
This followed, by one month, the withdrawal of former Virginia Governor and Republican National Committee chairman Jim Gilmore (July 14, less than three months after his entry) , who had problems raising money for his campaign.
