What is happening in this country is a chilling reminder of what happened in Austria following the Anschluss. 

And remember, boys and girls, that the country ceased to exist as an independent entity during the years of German occupation.  Following the war, the country was, like Germany, split into four zones of occupation (American, French, British, and Russia).  This was also the case with Vienna (just like Berlin).
