I blame this on the overarching influence of the NDP and its' hard-core socialist (anti-capitalist, in fact) forerunner, the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation as well as the late commie-loving Prime Minister, you know, fellow commie lover Justin Trudeau's old man.
Such nefarious legislation had been originally proposed by the NDP.
Canada is becoming no better than communist China.
They should replace the maple leaf on its' flag with the hammer and sickle.
