The term has been restyled to act like socialism, but with an American face.
American socialists, unlike the communists, believe in controlling, but NOT owning key industries.
The term should be scrapped in favor of "Yankee Socialism," which, unlike its' Marxist counterparts, means keeping capitalism, though under strict government controls on business, instead of having businesses OWNED by the state.
Of course, it doesn't work, and it's oppressive in nature.
They are actually PRO-capitalist "socialists."
Except for the true believers, American "socialists" are frauds.
